It is not necessary for the present to register and enter on the new portal in order to access the data bases.
For the present, it is not necessary to register on the renewed portal. Visitors can find detailed description about all data bases involved in EIS Basic Program and TÁMOP-4.2.5-09/1-2010-0002 program, so they can be informed also about data bases that their institutes do not subscribe to. I.e. visitors can see the icons and descriptions of all licences, but they can access only the ones their institute subscribes to, or applied for (licences can be used from the computers belonging to the IP range notified by their institute). The home page of the given data base can be reached by clicking on the ‘connected chain’ icon in the right top corner (within the IP range of the authorized institutes).
The lists, which are attached to the descriptions of databases, contain the information which database can be accessed from the territory of which institution (‘walk in user’).
Most of the databases got out from under proxy in 2010, consequently these can be reached via so called direct URLs within the given IP range (e.g.: http://www.spirngerlink.com; http://www.webofknowledge.com etc.).
An Elsevier SciVerse e-book collection, which involves 1192 e-books, can be accessed by higher education and research institutions from September 2012. Access for authorised institutes is ensured by Educatio Public Services Non-profit LLC.
The portal of Electronic Information Service (EIS), which was developed within the frame of TÁMOP-4.2.5-09/1-2010-0002 application won by Educatio Public Services Non-profit LLC, is awaiting regular and new visitors with impressive design, simple access, and user friendly applications.
